Jared is an environmental engineer with 17 years’ professional experience, largely in resource management, project management and environmental strategy. With a Master of Engineering (Civil) from the University of Canterbury and a Chartered Professional Engineer designation, he brings valuable knowledge of the construction sector and project lifecycle to our team. He is also an Independent Hearing Commissioner, having completed the Ministry for the Environment’s Making Good Decisions Programme for RMA decision makers.

Jared’s areas of specialisation include contaminated land, ports and coasts and effective consultation and engagement, gained through extensive involvement in redevelopment, harbour dredging and land reclamation projects at Lyttelton Port following the Christchurch earthquakes of 2010 and 2011. His work for Enviser has included providing strategic environmental advice to the managers of the Naval Point Development and Northport in Whangarei and managing a consent renewal for the Taharoa Ironsands mine on the North Island’s west coast.
