Mel brings a wealth of regional planning knowledge to the Enviser team, based on 10 years’ working at Environment Canterbury across three different teams – customer services, consents and contaminated land. She was a team leader in the customer services division for three of those years, ensuring the public received quality advice at all times.
Working part-time for Enviser, Mel provides invaluable project support – drafting reports and easing workloads in other ways. Her work for the company has included drafting dozens of consent officer’s reports for a major review of water takes in the Hakatere / Ashburton River catchment.
Environmental management is highly regulated and involves many viewpoints, I enjoy being involved in complex issues that affect people and the environment.”
Outside of work Mel enjoys mountain biking and skiing with her husband Jared (our co-founder) and their two sons. She loves travelling and exploring new cultures and has an interest in photography – in fact, she and Jared actually met working at a camera store in Christchurch many years ago.
